Try/on Life Community Farm offers an educational program that hosts workshops, events, and meetings for the public, all designed to enhance Portland's sustainable participation with the ecosystem.
Try/on Life Community Farm is a collective with a diversity of backgrounds, skills, and approaches: from natural building to environmental law, gardening and food preservation to community activism, permaculture farming to multi-media artisans. From this base, we have developed an interdisciplinary and experiential educational program designed to build critical reflection, collaborative skills, and practical training in the art and science of social and ecological responsibility.
Community Workshops
TLC Farm is a venue for people to share their skills and knowledge with the community at large. Through workshops, seminars, and participation in our on-going demonstration projects on the land, TLC Farm seeks to enhance the knowledge and practice of ecological sustainability in Portland and its surrounding communities.
The programs will be based around themes for each month (while all programs need not reflect the theme, it will be a thread woven through the offerings of each month).
