The ancients from Indian Yogis on the banks of the Ganges, to the Taoists living on mist covered mountains all knew and spoke of the central importance of a harmoniously functioning digestive tract in physical, emotional and spiritual health. And we in modern times are finally understanding the deep truths that they shared about how the digestive system is at the core of our nourishment and integration of our environment and our bodies and minds.

In this class, we'll discuss this interconnections of all the systems, and how working with plants that specifically positively affect GI function can both correct imbalance locally in our systems and facilitate a harmonious relationship between us and the world around us.

We'll focus on each part of the system from gums to bum and include a quick overview of holistic treatment of complex conditions like IBS, Crohns, Ulcerative Colitis, SIBO, and Candida as well as have an herb walk to highlight some of the amazingly effective remedies that exist in our backyards.
