Join us for Social Justice Movie Night, December 2, 7–9 p.m. in the farm’s yurt. We’ll screen "This is What Democracy Looks Like": WTO in Seattle. It's been 26 years since the worldwide grassroots movements against neoliberalism burst into popular awareness in the global North, as a "festival of resistance" successfully blockaded the WTO ministerial meetings in Seattle 1999. Return with us to the complexity, beauty, and creativity of that moment, as we reflect on the composition of the movement, its implicit strategy, the diversity of tactics, and the long-term impacts.
